They hound you for ever, when they get fed up chasing you they then sell your debt to an agency who will threaten you with all sorts, ignore them and they can make you bankrupt or sell your house from under you…. and no am not joking am in that boat myself its not nice, my advice is pay what you can and get in touch with them to make a payment plan

ps they keep adding interest and late fees too until you owe a ridiculous amount of money that you cant possibly pay backThe immediate effect is that you get a penalty charge. If you don’t pay the following month, you get a second penalty charge plus interest on the first one. Then they send the debt collectors to knock on your door and make a fuss and ring you up at inconvenient times. Month 3 you get the County Court summons and in month 4 the bailiffs come and take away your computer, your furniture and your granny.First they will send you a notice in the mail. They will probably then send you a second notice. If you still haven't payed by now, there will be late fees assessed.

Then they will report you to a collection agency. The collection agency will attempt to contact you. They will get progressively more aggressive about this. Your credit report will be effected. The "black mark" will become progressively worse and more permanent.

Eventually, legal action may be taken against you, such as repossession. However this will usually take some time and you will have plenty of opportunities to pay it off by then.

Basically, more than likely the consequence will end up being a bad credit score.
Unless you just flat out refuse to pay for months and months and that is when more drastic measures may be taken, especially if the amount due is large.I do not believe in credit cards.

You should only buy what you can afford. Credit cards are a temptation not to do that.

You can obtain the money easily enough but miss a payment you are hounded and chastised into the ground like a lower being.
