Where can i get a loan, im young with bad credit history.. please help?! (UK)?

If you already have bad credit and all you want to do is pay off your debt I would advise you to complete budget forms for your credit card and overdraft and ask them to freeze the accounts so that futher payments will decrease the balance. Give your phone – service provider a ring and ask them to aceept payments on a pro rata basis so that you make frequent payments off of what you are behind with and also look around to make sure you are getting the right deal. It is extremely difficult to get more credit and for good reasons – whats the point in getting in more debt when your already struggling? If i were you i wouldn't get another loan, trust me it will only make your situation even worse. I seached on citizens advice and found a website where you provide the people with details of all your income/out goings and they then manage your debt by contacting your creditors and arranging for charges and interest to be frozen and a minimum payment made.

www.payplan.co.uk

If all else fails write to the banks/whoever and explain your situation you can actually make a £1 token payment which they cannot refuse as your are making an effort even if you have very little money.

Good luck.

P.s i have previously used payplan and they really did help me.you wont get a loan especailly nowadays.

Stop spending and Save to pay off your debts then once theya re paid off and say 3 years later you might qualify for loans then.

write to them and tell them you are having problems paying and ask for a payment arrangement your local CAB can help[.

NEVER BORROW MORE MONEY TO CLEAR OLD DEBTS!You've really got yourself into a spot of bother haven't you?
Firstlt, people will not give you a loan because according to them, you are more likely to not pay it back. you are a huge risk. Especially in this economic crisis, a decent bank is very unlikely to give you one.

It is safest to get a loan from a bank, because they wont rip you off and they can be trusted. But they wont give you one.

The other option, which I don't recommend, is to go to one of those companies who give loans to people with bad credit history. But they can charge huge amounts of interests, and their interest rates can go up, which means you pay less per month, but will be paying it back forever!.
For example if your current debt is £500 each month for 1 year, they will reduce it to £200 per month, but it will be for 5 years. So you end up paying more.

Is it not possible to get another credit card, put the whole £1300 on the card and pay back £110 per month, and in a year your debt will be cleared?

Or, go to someone you trust, like family, ask them to borrow the money and pay them back every month.oh flower, you must be worried sick.
well if i was you i would definitely not go for a loan as you are just throwing even worse credit after bad (i hope that made Sense)
draft up a letter outlining your financial commitments and your income etc., and send a copy to all your creditors, make them an offer of a monthly payment as small as you think is acceptable. they will get back to you and hopefully say ok. this will be a more live-able way of paying it off this way could total £50 a month, a loan could be at least £100 -150 depending on the amount you borrow and its interest.
also (i dont mean to sound as if i am mocking you ) there are people out there with a much larger amount of debt, your amount although sounds huge to you at the mo is manageable
good luck
was that an ok answer?!?!Don't do it! If anyone lets you take out a loan, which I would be very surprised at especially with the credit crunch going on, then the interest you would pay on that loan will be horrendous. I am speaking from experience here.

If you are starting a full time job soon, then set aside money from your salary. You can't have everything too soon, that is what all of us have to learn. There is no quick fix and taking a loan out (as I did in the past and paid heavily for) is the worst thing to do.

The best thing you can do is to speak to your bank about the overdraft; change your phone provider/go to pay as you go/cut up that evil credit card. Little things will make a big difference. My experience was taking out three credit cards and running up £15,000 of debt. I contacted the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (free) who were a massive help, and who got in touch with the card companies, etc., and we came to an arrangement to pay.
