I am getting refused credit because too many people have viewed my report can i clear it?
It actually depends on the oldest inquiry. If your oldest inquiry was only 2 months ago, you have only 4 months left til it leaves your credit report. If you want, you can even dispute some of those inquiries so that you may be able to qualify for the credit that you are applying for. Check out the website of any of the three credit reporting agencies to get more information on how to go about this process.Actually credit inquiries stay on your credit report for 2 years.
I have a couple on my report from Bank Of America when I opened my checking account and from when I was shopping around for insurance, and on my credit report it says this-
Inquiries shared with others-
Bank Of America Date Of Request: 1/16/2008
Permissible purpose. This inquiry is scheduled to continue on record until Jan 2010.
And the only way you can remove the inquiries is if you tell the credit bureau it was not you that gave that certain bank a reason for the inquiry.in a word no, searchs stay on ur file for a max of 3 months, whereas actual credit reports stay on there 6 years, if items are satisfied then u may write to credit agency to get them to mark them down as satisfied
